We had such a good time this Thanksgiving. This very overlooked holiday has now become my favorite. Isaac was home so we decided to have Thankgiving with just the four of us.
We made a small, but filling Thanksgiving feast. While it was cooking we set up our christmas tree, drank egg nog, and listened to christmas music. After our long nap we helped the kids make and eat christmas sugar cookies. We had so much fun. We never had to change out of our pajamas; it was very relaxing and enjoyable.
We decided to see what Black Friday was all about, so we pulled our kids out of bed at 4 a.m. and headed off to Sam's Club for their free continental breakfast. It was CRAZY. After Sam's we went to Target and bought a few items. Then we decided to hit Lowes... and that's when we truly discovered what Black Friday was really all about. We had two carts full of stuff leaving the store and a brand new kitchen being delivered the next day. We've wrapped all the empty boxes from our "stuff" and put them under the tree to remind us that we've already had our Christmas.
That evening we walked the river walk and saw all the lights. Santa Claus was there, so Savannah got to tell him she wants a bike for Christmas. She's being extra good and tonight she made sure we included in our prayer for Santa to bring her a bike. I think he might.
