Goat Milking 101

Isaac helped a member do some plumbing in his house and in return he gave us 13 chickens and three goats. The thirteen chickens are random breeds. Some lay blue eggs, which is cool. Isaac is determined to eat the roosters sometime this week.
I don't remember the breed of the goats. There are two weathers, which are neutered males, that Isaac also wants to eat,and a mama milking goat... on loan, thankfully. We'll probably give her back in a couple of weeks. Isaac just informed me of that this morning. Hurray!!!
Not that I mind milking her. It was kind of enjoyable yesterday. I wouldn't mind adding "milk the goat" to my list of chores for the day. The milk doesn't taste that bad and the kids love it. But to go anywhere out of town would be impossible. Who could I find that I could pay well enough to milk a goat twice a day?

I was already impressed with the versatility of a simple cloth diaper (without padding). It has at least 100 uses. Now I can add to the list... cheese cloth. But that's another post for another day.
