Meet the newest members of our family!!! We now have three sheep on our mini farm; two ewes named Miriam and Esther, both are a little over a year and most likely pregnant. And our ram is four months old. His name is Brigham... ha ha ha. Why sheep? Because they're small for the kids, they're not goats, they're easy to care for, no wool to sheer because they're hair sheep, and they're also good for their meat. Mostly, we just thought it would be fun to have sheep. We love them, but they certainly don't love us yet. We can't get within 30 feet of them or they'll run, but we're going to work on that.
And our spoiled chickens... This is the new home in the barn that Isaac built for them. He plans on adding roosts. They love it. They usually all crowd into one box. We think they're getting ready to start laying eggs. We're excited.
